Is there a dress code?
We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up with us! Our dress code is semi-formal. No jeans, please! All wedding events will take place indoors, so the temperature will be regulated and comfortable.
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to budget restrictions, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless specifically indicated on your invitation envelope. (If you have a plus one, "and Guest" will be written on the envelope of your invitation. For further clarification, whether you have a plus one will be indicated when you RSVP on our wedding website. We want everyone to share in the celebration, and this will ensure that we are surrounded by our close friends and family. We hope you understand!
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM EST. We ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes before!
Can I take pictures throughout the ceremony and reception?
In order the ensure we are all fully present, we will be having an "unplugged" ceremony. We request that you turn off/silence all phones during the ceremony. We have hired an amazing photographer to capture this special moment, and we will be happy to send you any pictures upon your request!
During cocktail hour and the reception, please feel free to take as many pictures as you would like!
What's the bar situation?
We will provide a full open bar with beer, cocktails, and a selection of red and white wines. We will also have multiple non-alcoholic options and coffee.
Where do I get a hotel room?
Since our reception is being held at the Crowne Plaza Suites - Pittsburgh South, we have blocked off hotel rooms there for guests at discounted rates. There are a few other hotels in the area which you are welcome to stay at if you would like. See the Travel section of our website for more info!
What time is check-in/check-out?
For those staying at the Crowne Plaza Suites , check-in time is 4:00pm. Check-out time is 11:00am. All guests arriving before 3:00pm will be accommodated as rooms become available. There may be a charge for late check-out. Guest Services can arrange to check baggage for those arriving early when rooms are unavailable and for guests attending functions on departure day.
What about transportation?
Transportation between wedding venues and/or hotels is the responsibility of each guest. No shuttles will be available.
Where can I park?
St. Paul Cathedral has a few different options for parking. There is a parking lot along North Dithridge Street on the side of the Cathedral. Anyone is free to park in any available space there. There are around 38-40 available spots, with some handicapped spaces, as well. There is also street parking available around the Cathedral. In addition, Oakland Catholic, along North Craig Street, usually has their lot available to St. Paul Cathedral during weekend masses. If the gate is open, guests may park there, as well.
If none of these options work, there are a few garages in the area: One on North Dithridge (between Fifth and Forbes) and Soldiers and Sailors (this one is more of a walk).
The Crowne Plaza has its own parking lot where all guests are free to park.
I still have questions. Who can I talk to?
