Our Story began in 2021 when I happened to move next door to a girl who would end up changing my life. Unfortunately, the first time she saw me I was standing in a two-foot hole, and she thought I was 4 feet tall; I knew it would be an uphill battle to impress her from there on. We quickly found out how much we had in common and would frequently, if not every time, escape from our friends partying downtown to cook, drink, and most importantly talk. We would talk for hours, often not realizing how much time had passed. I quickly found comfort in Brianna, which I believe she also found in me. We would talk about everything, from career aspirations, family, love of traveling, and what we wanted out of this life. It turned out we wanted the same thing in the end, each other. After college, I graduated and quickly was shipped off to the Army, which was no problem for us, as Brianna would come to see me every chance she had. Over this time our love for each other flourished and we quickly realized how real our love was for each other. I counted down the days until I could see her and will continue to do so every time that we are apart. But just like when we were neighbors, I know I’m never too far away from her and I’ll always come back to her side to love and support her. I knew I had to lock her down for myself, but wanted to make sure the moment was at least as half as perfect as she was. I decided the white beaches of St Augustine were perfect for the occasion, and expectations were blown away. I’ll never forget how beautiful she looked in her long blue flowing dress, and the cherry on top was she had no idea of what was about to happen. I may not remember what I said when I dropped down on my knee but I’ll always remember her reaction and joy. On that day we made it official, but for me, that happened a long time ago during our talks on the couch about life and dreams of what we want from this world. Ever since I met Brianna, I could picture our life together, and I want nothing more than to make all of her/our dreams for this life come true. With the sealing of this bond in marriage, I can make one more of those dreams come true, and I can’t wait to celebrate her and our love.
