Half Board: 2 meals are included in base package, but drinks are not included

Mahekal is located on 38th Street in Playa Del Carmen, which is a street filled with a variety of local bars and restaurants.

We love and chose Mahekal for it’s cozy, intimate, boutique feel. With that being said, the resort is smaller than your typical all-inclusive resort.

There are two main restaurants on the

Mahekal property, with details below:

Las Olas: daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet.

HALF BOARD : 2 meals included. breakfast & (option for lunch OR dinner to be included)

ALL INCLUSIVE: breakfast, lunch, & dinner

Fuego: Everyday there is lunch and dinner. This restaurant usually requires reservation, and is not a buffet.

For dinner you have a $27 credit and set menu to choose from

(You can always pay the difference if you choose something different from the set menu)

Itzi Pool Bar:

ALL INCLUSIVE: included

We recommend WAITING until you get to the resort to upgrade to all inclusive. On arrival, you will have one meal for the base package already covered. If you plan to drink a lot of alcoholic beverages the next day, I recommend going to the front desk and upgrading on day 2.

If you plan to have several alcoholic beverages per day, we suggest getting the all-inclusive package.

If you plan to explore the area and try out local restaurants, or skip at least one meal on the resort per day, the half board may be a better option.

If you choose the half board, you can always buy lunch or dinner at the restaurants, you will just pay for your meal.
