Bri would like to first honor her big cousin Kristen AaShli Jackson, who would have filled the role of Maid of Honor. Kristen joined her father, Uncle Jacob, in Heaven on February 29, 2024 - but not before giving us her blessing!

When Gabe first met Kristen in 2017, she made one thing clear to him directly: That he had a lot of work to do to keep Bri happy, and that she would only be happy if he kept making Bri happy. Fast forward 4 years into our relationship: Kristen helped us through a very trying time, as she reminded us of our love for each other, what we first loved about each other, and why it was important to always fight forward for love.

Then, fast forward to the big proposal - Kristen was VERY surprised, enthusiastic and excited! Gabe and I were able to visit her in the hospital shortly after the engagement on December 23, 2024, where she very adamantly kicked me out of the room to have a "private little chat" with Gabe before our marriage. To this day, I don't know what was said - but I can only imagine it was what needed to be said.

I miss my big cousin so dearly, but I will walk down the aisle knowing that she loves us, celebrates us, and is pushing for us to love deeply, forever. Just like I will love her deeply, forever!
