Our Wedding

Brianna and Dwight met at Dog Star Rescue in Bloomfield CT in August of 2021. Dwight shadowed Brianna for his first shift.

How we met

Our first solo hang was Comedy Night at City Steam Brewery. We then began doing hikes together, participating in the Sky's The Limit Challenge. We also share a love of cooking and some of our first dates involved making some favorite meals together.

We took our first trip together to Niagara Falls and Toronto, with a stop in Brianna's hometown of Fairport NY.

Summer 2023- Brianna moved in with Dwight. We transformed the house into our home together! We have welcomed several foster dogs from Dog Star Rescue.

Sarah has been best friends with Brianna since before birth. Despite living on opposite coasts for many years, the two of them have always made time to take fun trips together. She is thrilled that Brianna has found her match in Dwight and can't wait to be a part of their special day!

Alexandra is the bride's one and only older sister! A dedicated dog mom and proud proponent of mountains over beaches, Alex is also famously fueled by iced coffee and a good Target trip. She's been a lifelong best friend and confidante. We're so thrilled to have her standing up with us!

Meet Michaela, the bride's fantastic younger sister and lifelong partner in crime! When she's not captivating everyone with her incredible storytelling or expertly building a roaring campfire, you can probably find her exploring a new hiking trail or enjoying a local brew. As a devoted cat mom, she brings warmth and a touch of independent spirit to everything she does. Having Michaela by the bride's side today means the world, and we can't wait to see what fun stories she'll tell from this celebration!

Meet Katarina, the bride's wonderful baby sister! Always the first to lend a hand, Katarina is truly the definition of a supportive sibling. When she's not conquering worlds with the bride on the Switch, you'll find her happily playing with the her dog, hitting the open road for a drive, or dreaming of her next trip to sunny Florida. And if you offer her a treat, just remember: she loves cake, but absolutely no frosting! We're so excited to have Katarina's sweet spirit and unwavering support by the bride's side today.

Alex and Dwight have been fast friends since meeting in middle school. They bonded through school plays, the Runequest tabletop RPG run by Dwight's dad, and games of Left 4 Dead. They've kept a steady routine of weekly game nights, even when living on opposite sides of the country! Alex was overjoyed to have Dwight as the best man for his wedding, and is excited to do the same for Dwight ♥️

Ruth met Dwight at the University of Maryland, through a mutual connection (her date and eventual husband, please see Alex Duplessie  ) and quickly understood the severity of brotherhood between them and right away understood Dwight would be in her life no matter what. Fortunately, Dwight is a top quality person and over the years, through wine soaked conversations after work, to heart pounding games of Ticket to Ride, Ruth and Dwight have forged their own unique friendship. Ruth is incredibly happy to see this amazing human find another amazing human, and watch the partnership they have fostered grow into its own incredibly special thing. Celebrating that love and standing with Dwight as they both start this new chapter together is a cherished honor.

Forgive his Northern Attitude, like Noah Kahan, Evan hails from the mountains of Vermont. He and Dwight met in 2017 when Evan followed his wife down to Maryland and the bro-mance has been going strong ever since! With a shared love of sports, Game of Thrones, and comedy, their friendship has gone the distance. Evan is thrilled to be part of Dwight and Brianna's big day and loves seeing his buddy in love.

Jess and Dwight’s friendship began in the basement rehearsal room of Forum Theatre back in 2013, where they formed a stage management dream team. From orchestrating lightning-fast costume changes into grey dolphin morph suits to surviving the marathon that is Sarah Ruhl’s Passion Play, the two facilitated theatrical magic on an impossibly small budget. Through every chaotic cue and creative challenge, Jess could always count on Dwight to have her back. After their time at Forum, their friendship continued to grow through their work in events at the University of Maryland—until one game night invite turned into a weekly tradition and a lifelong friendship. Jess is honored to stand by Dwight’s side and thrilled he found his perfect match in Brianna. She can’t wait to celebrate both of them as they take their next steps forward together.

Airfare

Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks is the closest airport. Aprox 45 minutes away. It is serviced by all major airlines and several budget ones and has a rental car facility attached. Tweed New Haven is aprox 35 minutes away. Currently only avelo and breeze fly here. Rhode Island TF Green and New York LaGuardia Airports are around 1 hour 45 minutes away. Boston Logan and New York JFK are around 2 hours away. We recommend flying into Bradley.

Getting Around

There are rental car facilities at all the nearby airports. Rideshare apps also are abundant in the area. CT Transit also provides bus service. There will be a shuttle provided from the hotel to the venue and back.
