Grab a drink or light snack at Voodoo Brewing in between the ceremony and reception. It is a 5 minute drive from the church, and a 25 minute drive to the reception.
Personal recommendations: We love the Good Vibes IPA. Careful, though! They are 7.3% ABV. For those that enjoy a lighter option, the Empty Calories Light Lager is a great conversational beer. We also enjoy snacking on their southside flatbreads. The Hot Honey Pepperoni Flatbread is our favorite!
Easily our favorite place to enjoy a nice glass of wine and a beautiful scenic view is at Maiolatesi Wine Cellars. It is roughly a 20-25 minute drive to the winery from the church, and roughly 20 minutes to get from the winery to the reception.
Personal recommendations: EVERYTHING! This place does not disappoint. For the sweet wine lovers, the Strawberry Cayuga is our absolute favorite. For dry wine lovers, Mike loves the 2019 Sangiovese. For those who enjoy a little bit of both, we suggest ordering a flight. They also offer charcuterie as a light snack pairing.
Grab a drink or light snack at Breaker Brewing Outpost. There are two locations, so be sure to enter the Archbald location! It is roughly a 20 minute drive from the church, and roughly 15 minutes to the reception.
Personal recommendation: We enjoy ordering a flight and trying their wide selection of beers & seltzers. To share, we suggest ordering the Pierogi "Nachos" or a Fired Up Focaccia.
Grab a drink or light snack at Mutant Brewing. This brewery in downtown Scranton is only a 5 minute drive from the church, and a 25 minute drive to the reception/hotel.
Personal Recommendation: This brewery has great flight options, our personal favorite being the Stuntman Sour Raspberry. For a small plate, the Baked Pretzel Sticks come with an awesome beer cheese & homemade honey mustard.
Enjoy a glass of wine at Lucchi winery while munching on a slice of pizza purchased from Vincenzo's Pizzeria across the street. This winery is located on Main Avenue just 5 minutes from the church ceremony, and 25 minutes to the reception. Their inventory rotates seasonally, so be sure to ask the server for their current favorite(s).
Walk or drive around Nay Aug Park. There are walking trails, flowers, and a walkable tree house. If you are looking for a light snack or coffee, try the "Blackwatch Cafe" located within the park (239 Arthur Ave). The barista, Mia, makes one heck of an iced coffee!
Nay Aug Park is roughly 10-15 minutes from the church, and roughly 25 minutes to the reception.
Enjoy a tour through the Everhart Museum. This is located in the same vicinity as Nay Aug Park.
If you have a hotel reservation and wish to relax/freshen up prior to the reception, you may head to the hotel following our ceremony. Please inform the front desk of your early check-in prior to the day of the event.
