Bri's Point of View:

Noah and I met through Met By Love in September of 2021. After meeting just two times, he messaged me on Instagram and a week later … we found ourselves on our first date! It didn’t take long till Noah asked to meet with my dad to have a “talk.” They hit it off quite well considering I was an hour late and they were still chatting. He asked me out shortly after a “yes” from my dad, and the journey began! Our memories of dating consist of Met By Love events, Monopoly Deal and pickleball games, and lots of movie nights!

During the first six months of dating, Noah and I were neighbors! Being able to walk back and forth between each other’s houses was such a fun season that I know we both miss a lot. That summer (2022) Noah joined the Every Heart tours for the second time and traveled to the U.S. for ten weeks to spread the gospel. This strengthened our relationship in ways we never knew we needed and we both saw the deep work the Lord did in both of our hearts while apart from one another. Just a few months after he came home, he proposed! I was in utter shock as we were a bit ahead of schedule compared to our original plan. That shock shortly became gratitude as I got to celebrate with my closest family and friends. In a few short months, we get to join hands in marriage. I couldn’t be more excited to take on forever with a gentle, kind, and intentional man who fears the Lord.

Our relationship is marked by the love of God. Without Him, there is no us. Our lives were both drastically changed when we met the Lord. The Lord has moved in both of our lives in different ways and has given us unique and different gifts. We are joining hands in marriage as we go on a mission to chase after the Kingdom together. The love for God is a strong flame burning bright in our lives. The joining in matrimony will combine these two fires making an even stronger flame for the Lord. We know the enemy is shaking in his boots right now. So, we ask you to join us in prayer as we follow the Lord's will for our lives.

Noah's Point of View:

It all started when I saw Bri at a Met By Love family night, this was a night of games, fun, and food at the Hovey house. Then I saw that beautiful girl again at Met By Love’s Monday night worship gathering. I went up and chatted with her before the gathering. After this night I was feeling emotions I hadn’t felt in a long time, I knew I needed to ask her out. As dates went on it felt more and more “right.” In the beginning stages of dating, the Lord helped show us how to communicate, serve, and sacrifice for each other. We both were in very busy seasons when we started dating. But guess what? She lived across the street and we had no idea … wow, what a blessing. Dating is a huge commitment and takes a lot of effort to learn about each other, especially since I was Bri’s first boyfriend, but she makes every second worth it.

Some of my favorite memories in our dating season were: our crazy trips, fun pranks, and lots of monopoly deal games. We went on a trip to Florida in March of 2022, we showed up to the airport and they told us we were seated in row 0 seat 0. We were confused and they said that we had no seats on the plane. With Bri’s “type A” personality and my “type B” we had to learn to adapt, you could say it wasn’t easy. It ended up working out with a big voucher to use on future flights. I have lots of great memories of us, one is smashing pumpkins at Jamie's house to prank her. Also, we have likely played over 500 games of monopoly deal over the duration of our dating season. I bet it will be around 1,000 when we're married and maybe she’ll have won by then ;)

With all the fun in mind, the most important thing to both of us is Jesus, we both desperately need Him as individuals first. We want a life and marriage that is dependent on Jesus. He has radically changed our lives. He has helped me overcome many things, experience true joy, and find a true purpose in life that goes beyond death. For Bri, He has shown her humility, grace, and showed her that her identity is only found in the Lord. We are dedicated to represent him in our marriage and honor him in all that we do.
