Once upon a long, teenage time ago, Ryan fell in love with a blonde girl that caught his eye in the Hudson High cafeteria in passing when they were camp counselors. The end.

Just kidding, there’s quite a bit more to our story. . .

Part I: Summer of 2012 and Senior Year of HS

Both of us were counselors for summer camps at Hudson High and Ryan noticed Bri in the cafeteria. He played it cool by shooting his shot and messaged Bri. After many, many messages back and forth, she decided to give him her number.

Our first date was a fail when we tried to go bowling, so naturally, we ended up just getting food at the mall.

As the summer went on, Ryan finally asked Bri to be his girlfriend. We fell for each other fast as young teens do. Bri was even introduced to the second love of her life, Ryan's family dog, a Staffordshire bull terrier named Rocky. Little did she know how much that guy would mean to her one day.

We dated our senior year and eventually it came time to graduate and get ready to head off to college. Bri also chose to go to college 2,000 miles away, by the way.

A couple months into college, we went our separate ways. Literally, not a word spoken to each other for four. whole. years. Don’t worry, there’s obviously a happy ending coming.

Part II: Round 2

After we both graduated college, Bri moved back home that summer and Ryan finally came to his senses: he wanted Bri back. We decided to give things another try, because, you know, getting back with your ex is always a good idea, right? To spare the details of the last 7 years, no, it was not easy, but it was absolutely worth it.

Over the years, we've made so many memories, by finding some of our our favorite places to travel to, especially visiting several times a year: Portsmouth, NH.

Ryan has almost convinced Bri to be as die hard of a Celtics fan as he is, if you know, you know.

And despite Ryan's distaste for most food, they are finally starting to enjoy food, together (Thanks, Ryan).

Rocky:

Rocky was the main character of this story. When we got back together, that dog became Bri’s best friend, but if you know Rocky, everyone was his best friend. While it was technically his family’s dog, it became her dog too. He lived a long, fulfilling 14 years of life and his last day was hard on everyone, but especially us. We would like to remember Rocky’s happy, goofy and loving spirit, and Bri will be forever grateful that Ryan and his family are the reason she loved an animal as much as she did Mr. Rocky.

Part IV: The Final Chapter

We have undoubtedly grown up and grown with each other. We learn from each other, while we learn about each other, still to this day. We have been able to see each other’s point of view while not conforming to be something the other is not, even if we disagree.

We have stood by each other’s side in some extremely difficult times, but also through the celebration of the other’s wins, whether big or small. We’ve realized that while we are completely different people, with different interests, that’s what has kept it exciting, is trying new things, or trying things we thought we’d never enjoy.

We’d like to conclude our story with something that, if you know Ryan, then you know. It has taken Bri almost 7 years to convince him to try foods that are not that of a kindergarten diet, and she succeeded. You may never see him eating a plain vegetable, but just know, he’s come a long way.
