Bri and Sam's story started when they met in the summer of 2017. They were both camp counselors at a day camp, after Bri's high school graduation and Sam's first year of college.

They quickly connected over the absurdity of the children they had to take care of and started dating after a few weeks.

They've been inseparable ever since, going through starting and finishing college together, finding the professions they would eventually pursue, and growing closer through long distance while Bri was in Elmira, New York to pursue her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine, while Sam pursued his actuarial certifications.

Sam eventually proposed to Bri on March 23, 2024 on the Suspension Bridge in Watkins Glen State Park, overlooking a beautiful snowy gorge, also near Seneca Lake, one of the fingerlakes in upstate New York.
