Our Wedding

We met when Brianna moved onto West 12th Street 16 years ago. Our parents had bonfires and played cornhole often during the summertime.

How They Met 

Our moms became best friends and we spent most holidays at the Hennings’ house over the next decade. But we never really interacted in depth much during that time. Both of us were busy doing our own thing.

Growing Up  

We started to fall in love at bonfires during the summer- oddly enough just like how we had originally met as kids. Bonfires turned into walks and bike rides. We found a shared love for exploring nature parks, gardening, and listening to music. 

The Beginning 

Jacob proposed on St. Patrick’s Day at our home. It was meant to go a little differently but Brianna came home early from work to surprise him- messing up his plans a bit.

Proposal 

We chose Holden Arboretum as our ceremony site as it is was one of our first and favorite dates we had been on. He knew I would absolutely love this place.

The dress code is semi-formal. Feel free to dress on theme of Garden Party: florals, light spring colors, etc. It is not required! Just feel and look your best!

Attire

The ceremony will take place at Holden Arboretum’s Butterfly Garden unless it rains! Holden Arboretum has a backup location in case of rain. The address is 9550 Sperry Rd. Kirtland, OH 44094. Arrival time is 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony. Parking will be in the parking lot as soon as you pull in to your destination. The Butterfly Garden is not far from the main entrance!

The reception will be a tented backyard reception at 10307 Stone Rd. Valley View, OH 44125. The tent will have sides in case of rain. Food and drink will be served buffet style and a self- service bar. Reception begins at 5pm with wedding party entrance starting promptly at 5:15pm. Parking will be on the property and marked off. Overflow parking TBD but will be communicated upon arrival! 

Reception

We love your families and friends, but we’re keeping things as small as possible. Our guest list is limited to those named on the invitation, and we are kindly requesting an adults-only event. We truly appreciate your understanding and support!

Timeline 

12:30pm: 12:45pm: Guests arrive at Holden Arboretum 1:00pm: Ceremony (about 15-30 minutes duration) 1:30: Family photos 5:00pm: Reception 5:15pm: Wedding party entrance - First Dance - Speeches - Dinner with Blessing - Parent Dances - Cake cutting - Dancing, Bouquet and Garter Toss etc.

Parking is free for wedding guests! You will enter the parking lot from Sperry Rd. and park in front of the Corning Vistor Center (shown in the map). The wedding will be held right behind the visitor center in the Butterfly Garden (in case of rain it will be inside the visitor center itself in Thayer Room).
