Q + A

What should I wear?

We request that all guests come dressed in Cocktail Attire. Men may wear a button-up shirt and dress pants with a sports coat and tie, being optional. Women, on the other hand, may wear a blouse combined with a skirt or a shorter knee or full-length dress.

Where are you registered?

We kindly ask that you consider making a cash contribution in lieu of traditional wedding gifts. However, for those who would like to gift a tangible item, we are registered on Amazon and Target.

Can I bring our children?

While we love your children, we kindly ask that they stay at home. This will be an adult-only event with the exception of immediate family. We hope you understand and use this evening as a night out with your significant other.

Does your wedding have a theme?

Our wedding does not have a theme, however, we do ask that guests adhere to our Cocktail attire dress code. We also ask that guests try to wear colors from a neutral (black, tan, or gray), blush (pink, mauve, blush, pale), and green palette (sage, evergreen, chive) to allow for photographs to be cohesive :) We also ask that guest's refrain from wearing white with the exception of a white button up shirt with a tie.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

RSVP's are due June 14th, 2024. You can either mail back your RSVP or RSVP online via our wedding website.

Where are the Ceremony and Reception taking place?

The ceremony and reception will take place at The Mill Events in Chetek, Wisconsin.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and reception will take place indoors. The ceremony and reception site do not have air conditioning in the main space. However, there is air conditioning in the bar and cocktail area for guests to cool off during cocktail hour or for a break from dancing.

What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the newlyweds will be exiting quickly to be able to enjoy the first few moments as husband and wife together. This means there will be no receiving line. Guests will exit the ceremony space and enter the cocktail hour to enjoy hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and prepare to get the party started while the ceremony space is flipped for dinner.

How do I get to the venue?

There will be a shuttle to bring guests staying at the hotel to the venue for the ceremony. Airbnb and VRBO guests are welcome to drive to the venue, however, there are only about 100 spots for parking, so please be aware of that. The bride and groom will provide Airbnb and VRBO guests with a voucher to utilize Uber services for their transportation needs.

What time should I arrive?

We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Is there a hotel block?

We reserved a hotel block at The Northwoods Best Inn for 15 rooms. The price deduction for booking through the hotel block will only be applicable for guests booking 7/26/2024-7/28/2024 (a two night stay). The Northwoods Best Inn has 48 rooms available and is the closest hotel to the venue. We also suggest booking accommodations through Airbnb and VRBO, especially if you are a larger party.

Can I bring a date?

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget and to abide by safety and fire codes. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

What should I do if I can't make it?

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Yes, our venue is fully equipped to accommodate everyone!

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Yes, we will be serving our guests food and drinks starting at cocktail hour. Cocktail hour is when the bar opens and guests can begin to enjoy beverages and hors d'oeuvres. Dinner will be served family style and will have two proteins, salad, vegetables, and a starch. Desserts will be available at our dessert table following dinner.

Will transportation be provided to/from sleeping accommodations?

Yes, there will be a shuttle provided for hotel guests and Uber vouchers for guests staying at an Airbnb or VRBO.

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Although our decor may be beautiful, we ask that guests not remove any items from the venue. We will have a lot of rentals and personal items at the wedding and would hate to lose them.

May I take pictures during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that guests keep their phones and cameras put away during the ceremony to truly be present with us. We will give guests the opportunity to snap a picture of us at the alter prior to starting the formal wedding ceremony. Outside of the ceremony, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #becomingabischoff so we can keep track of all your pictures!

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?

If you still have questions after going through our FAQ, please reach out to the Bride or Groom a month or more prior to the wedding. We ask that no questions are directed to us in June and July as we will be busy doing the final preparations for the big day!
