The story begins in the spring of 2017. Brice was graduating high school, and Shannan was heading into her senior year. At the time, Brice worked at Auntie Anne’s with one of Shannan’s friends, which led him to meet Shannan’s entire friend group—except for Shannan herself. From what Shannan had heard, she wasn't exactly a fan of Brice at first. But things took a turn when Shannan filled in for her friend’s Snapchat streaks and started talking to Brice. The more they chatted, the more they discovered how much they enjoyed each other's company. Eventually, Brice asked Shannan out to Pizza Fire, and the rest, as they say, was history.

Their relationship deepened quickly, and during a special moment together, looking out at the Columbus skyline after their first 1975 concert, Brice told Shannan he loved her. Later that night, as he dropped her off, Shannan said it back.

Just a month into their relationship, Shannan faced the heartbreaking loss of her mom to cancer. Through that difficult time, Brice was by her side, and their bond grew even stronger, deepening their love and commitment to one another.

Over the years, Brice and Shannan have consistently supported each other and and they have shared countless adventures together.

On August 28th, 2023, Brice proposed to Shannan at Cannon Beach. As the sun set over the ocean, he read her a letter he had written, asking her to spend forever with him.

Today, Brice and Shannan continue to explore the world together, with a goal of visiting all 50 states (they’ve checked off 26 so far!). Some of their favorite states include New York, North Carolina, Utah, Florida, and Maine. For the next chapter of their lives, they'll be tackling home renovations and embarking on a honeymoon to Greece!
