Bridget and Melissa met in sociology class at University of New England. They became fast friends and shared multiple interests as they were both student athletes and nursing majors. They shared similar dreams too. Both of them wanted to work at Boston Children's Hospital and live in Boston. Bridget wanted to work as an ER nurse while Melissa wanted to work as an oncology nurse.

Bridget decided to transfer to University of Pittsburgh at the end of spring 2017 but that did not stop them from being friends. They each took multiple trips to see each other since Melissa lived in Massachusetts and Bridget lived in Maryland.

After Bridget had transferred schools, they still saw each other every few months and talked daily and on October 7th they made it official and started dating.

Being in a long distance relationship was hard but they still managed to see each other every couple months. Bridget even spent the whole summer up in Mass living with Melissa and her family.

Bridget came to Maine to quarantine with Melissa while they finished school virtually. When not studying for a nursing exam they explored numerous different hikes in Maine.

Melissa graduated (online) from UNE and moved down to Pittsburgh. She began work at a local hospital while Bridget finished her senior year of college at Pitt.

Bridget graduated from University of Pittsburgh and landed a job working at UPMC Children's Hospital.

They decided it was time to move to Massachusetts but before they did, they went on a 2 month long road trip and saw 35 national parks on the journey.

Once landing jobs at Boston Children's, they moved to South Boston.

Melissa proposed to Bridget in Pittsburgh. The city that holds a very special place to them.

Bridget proposed to Melissa at the Boston Commons garden. The couple traveled to Aruba with family a week later. It was their first trip as fiancees.

Finally, after 7 years of loving each other, they are both engaged. From long distance relationships, to sleeping in a car for 2 months, to even accomplishing their dreams to working at Boston Children's (even though Bridget works as a cardiac ICU nurse and Melissa works as an ER nurse). The couple has now traveled to 43 national parks, 42 states and 5 countries. The couple has grown in so many ways and have made a beautiful life together. They can't wait to celebrate with all their friends and family!
