Chad and Bridget met the old fashioned way: Online! None of that icky face to face drunken flirting for these two! They had their first date on Nov 7, 2011 at Stanley's in NE MPLS, where mostly-not-drunken flirting could commence.

Bridget found Chad to be very cute and charming. Chad found Bridget to be very sweet, genuine and just plain fun to be with.

Over the next 4 ½ years, they dated semi-long distance, traveling between Shoreview and SW MPLS to be with each other as often as they could. Chad brought Bridget out of her comfort zone, encouraging her to learn mountain biking and snowboarding. Bridget encouraged Chad to be a bigger Vikings fan than he was (on their 3rd date, Chad said that Green Bay was his 2nd favorite team, which was unacceptable to Bridget….he has since been converted to an anti-Cheese Head!) Bridget and Keon developed a wonderful bond, and to this day they still enjoy their own weekly ‘Pizza Night’ together when Chad is on one of his many after-work bike rides.

Bridget moved in with Chad and Keon in April 2016, where she quickly altered the home’s TV viewing schedule with hour upon hour of HGTV and Viking’s coverage (when they win), and endured hour upon hour of watching Mountain Bike Racing.

In September 2022, while they were out to dinner for Bridget’s 50th birthday, Chad surprised Bridget when he asked her to marry him. Many, including many of you who’ve read this far, still wonder what took him so long!
