Air Travel

The closest airport to Waterford Castle is Dublin International Airpot (DUB) located in Ireland's largest city, and capitol, Dublin!


Waterford Castle is located approx. 2 hours south of Dublin International Airport (see "ground transportation" below for more information about the provided transportation).

Passports

Please double-check the expiration date on your passport to ensure it is valid throughout your entire stay in Ireland. If you plan to extend your travel before or after the wedding, be sure to check the passport requirements for each country you plan on visiting, as they may differ.


If you need a passport, please apply at least 6 months before your planned departure date. More information on the passport application process can be found here.

Ground Transportation

We will provide all wedding guests with a charter bus to and from Waterford Castle and Dublin. To save your spot on the charter bus, please respond to the related prompt accordingly when you complete the online RSVP.


The charter bus will depart The Davenport Hotel in Dublin at 1:30 pm local time on Monday, May 27th and head for Waterford Castle. Please ensure you arrive to the Davenport ~15 minutes prior to our departure.


The charter bus will depart Waterford Castle at 12:00 pm local time and head back to Dublin on Wednesday, May 29th.


If you prefer to rent a car or take public transportation, please feel free to do so. Parking will be available at the venue. For those driving, please do not arrive at Waterford Castle until after 4pm on Monday, May 27th.

The Ferry

Waterford Castle is set on a 310-acre Private Island, accessible via a short (~5 min) crossing on the resort's private car ferry over the King's Channel.


The ferry is a 24-hour service. It runs daily to the following schedule:

7am – 12am midnight: Every 15 minutes on the quarter hour. (i.e. 7:00am, 7:15am, 7:30am, 7:45am, 8:00am etc.).


The ferry can cater to both cars and foot passengers.
