What is the best way to get to Long Island?
There are many ways! The closest airports to fly into are Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), or John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK). You are welcome to take an Uber, Lyft, private car service, or rent a car from there as it is a quick drive to the hotel from either location! If you live more local, it may make sense to take the Long Island Ferry to Port Jefferson, NY, or to take the train, or simply drive.
I’m driving from the North and want to take a ferry to avoid any NYC traffic. Which is best?
There are 2 ferries to look into and both are good options. The Bridgeport/Port Jefferson ferry will drop you off close to the hotel but requires a bit more driving before getting on the ferry in Connecticut. The New London/Orient Point ferry is the opposite, where it’s a farther drive when you get off the ferry on Long Island to get to the hotel but a bit less driving before getting on the ferry in Connecticut. Pricing is similar for both. You will want to book your ferry several WEEKS in advance to save your spot as they fill up quickly!
