ID Requirements - An ID must be present upon entry of the Naval Academy for ALL guests.
All people over the age of 18 must have a valid ID such as a U.S. issued driver's license or a passport for non-U.S. citizens. Anyone under the age of 18 without an ID must be escorted by a responsible adult with a valid ID at all times. All visitors may undergo an ID and bag check and screened through a magnetometer before entering the Naval Academy.
If you are not utilizing the shuttle transportation and are walking onto the Naval Academy for our ceremony, please see the following information.
PEDESTRIAN ACCESS: Pedestrians may enter at Gate 1 (VAC) by showing appropriate ID. It is helpful for the party to note their destination when showing ID. The sentry may also search any bags (including purses) coming aboard. After Gate 1 is closed, there are outbound turnstiles allowing exit at this gate.
There are several public parking lots and garages. Consider parking at one of the following, and entering the Naval Academy through Gate 1:
City Dock Lot
Donner Lot
Calvert Street Garage
HANDICAPPED INSTRUCTIONS: Guests with mobility concerns are encouraged to enter the Chapel through the side Crypt Entrance. Follow the exterior signs to the Crypt, and once you are inside the Chapel through the Crypt entrance, there is a room to your immediate left with an elevator. The Main Chapel is on level 2.
