The wedding will take place at Madden's on Gull Lake. Madden's is a resort in East Gull Lake, Minnesota, approximately 2 - 2.5 hours from the Twin Cities. The ceremony, reception, and accommodations are all on-site and within walking distance from each other.

NOTE: Madden's requires a 2 night minimum stay. The resort offers a wide variety of rooms - including typical hotel rooms, cottages, and villas. We have a rolling block of rooms and it is suggested to book as soon as possible! When you are ready to book, please call the resort and give them our names. See more detail in the Travel tab.

As Madden's has a 2 night minimum stay, we understand that some guests may not want to stay 2 nights. However, Madden's is located about 10-15 minutes from Baxter, Minnesota and Brainerd, Minnesota. There are many other hotel options in those two towns, including the following:

-Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Baxter, MN

-Holiday Inn Express & Suites Brainerd-Baxter, MN

-The Lodge at Brainerd Lakes

-Baymont by Wyndham Baxter/Brainerd Area

Please note that we do not have room blocks at any hotel outside of the resort and there will be no transportation provided if you stay outside of Madden's. Please reach out to us if you have any concerns!

Yes! For those arriving on Friday, we will be hosting a Welcome Party at the Lake House in Madden's resort. Stop by any time between 5PM - 9PM for some food and drinks!

For those staying the weekend with us, there are lots of fun activities to do at Madden's! The resort has tennis courts, pickleball courts, sand volleyball, badminton, and shuffleboard (note that a recreation pass would need to be purchased to use these amenities). There are also 4 swimming pools (2 indoors, 2 outdoors), a hot tub, and multiple beaches. You can also rent bikes or go axe throwing. Additionally, Madden's has multiple restaurants, bars, and cafes. While we would love to see your kiddos, we have decided to make this an adults-only celebration. Some people may choose to bring their children to Madden's for the weekend, and we would love to see them at the Welcome Party on Friday evening! However, all wedding celebrations on Saturday will be adults-only. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope this advance notice means you are still able to attend our big day!

The ceremony and reception will take place at Wilson Bay within Madden's resort. A resort map is available on Madden's website and will be provided upon arrival.

We'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us! Please avoid jeans and wearing colors typically dedicated to the bride (white, cream, ivory, etc.). The ceremony will be outdoors in a grassy area. Ladies please take this into account when choosing your heels!

All of the beautiful bridesmaids will be wearing olive green. Please avoid wearing long olive green dresses! The groomsmen will be in navy suits.

We will have an open bar for a majority of the event. However, it will switch to a cash bar towards the end of the evening and guests can use cash or card to purchase drinks. Hope you are ready for some fun!
