What is a Catholic Wedding Ceremony Mass?
A Catholic wedding ceremony mass, or Nuptial Mass, is a full Catholic Mass celebrated for a couple getting married, combining the Sacrament of Matrimony with the Sacrament of the Eucharist. It includes Scripture readings, a homily on marriage, the couple's exchange of vows and rings, the nuptial blessing, and the reception of the Eucharist, representing the couple's first "meal" together and their reliance on God. This form of ceremony is the traditional and most formal way for two Catholic baptized individuals to marry.
Do I have to receive communion at the wedding ceremony?
If you are in a state of grace, you may receive communion at the mass.
I have more questions!
Please reach out to Bridget or Ricky regarding any other questions you may have about the event.
