What are the COVID protocols for the event?

With COVID-19 still a growing concern, we ask that you take the necessary precautions to protect yourself and those around you. Please plan on wearing a face mask upon entry to the Park Shelton and in common areas such as hallways and elevators. As much as we want everyone to celebrate in person, if you have not been fully vaccinated, are feeling ill, or have been exposed to COVID-19 within two weeks of the wedding, please stay home and toast us from afar.

Where do I park?

The Park Shelton is on the corner of Woodward & Kirby, next to the Detroit Institute of Arts and across the street from the Detroit Historical Museum. Street parking is available on Kirby Street, Woodward, or Ferry Street. Be sure to pay at the pay station or through the Park Detroit app.

The Cultural Center Parking Lot is located just behind the Charles H. Wright Museum. Enter on John R. Street. The cost is $7 per vehicle.

How do I enter the building?

You can enter the Park Shelton from Woodward Avenue or Kirby Street. The wedding ceremony is taking place in the gallery on the first floor, and the reception will be held on the roof top. Upon entering the building, please look for directional signage.

What time should I arrive if I only plan to attend the reception?

The reception will begin immediately following the ceremony and conclude at 4 PM. Plan to arrive anytime after 12:45 PM.
