Colby and Bridgette’s love story began through one of Bridgette’s friends in February of 2021. Although conversations started off slow, it eventually took off after their first date together in late March. Both felt a spark and knew there was something special about each other.

It wouldn’t be until April that Colby would make their relationship official, starting the adventure of a lifetime. They knew it wasn’t going to be easy. Between Colby and Bridgette splitting ways later that year to go to college and both focusing on their career goals, the next 4 years would be difficult. Patience, love, communication, and a lot of listening became important factors to help preserve an amazing relationship. Most importantly, their devotion to God and the support from their family helped them endure every challenge they faced together.

Although they faced tough, hard days, the good days outweighed them. Every chance Colby and Bridgette could be together they would enjoy many of their favorite activities. From watching and attending sporting events, to traveling around the United States, and trying new restaurants, both Bridgette and Colby have created many meaningful memories as a couple.

On June 23rd, 2025, Colby got on one knee and asked Bridgette to marry him. This began the next part of their amazing journey together. In August 2025, Colby left to officially begin his career in the Marine Corps sparking another round of long distance. Although challenging, this too marked another important step in their journey to today.

Today, on their wedding, God has blessed these two with a strong relationship built on faith and love through him. Please enjoy the day of love, laughter, and celebration of the new Thomases!
