This Man literally rode in to my life on 2 wheels and I haven't been the same since.
We met through a mutual friend one evening, we sat and chatted about life and family, really a little of everything and then after that night I didn't see him again for another couple months. We ran in to each other again at the carver county fair and he still caused a hitch in my breath, I knew then for sure that this was someone I wanted to get to know. Snagged his number that night, exchanged a few text here and there thru out the next month and then one night he happened to be in BP so I told him to come hang out! I died laughing at the fact that I basically had to give him map quest directions to my house because he was living in the stone ages with his FLIP phone. It defiantly made for a good running joke for a bit! He came over that night and it was pretty much game over from there, I was hooked, and seeing as he barely ever left after that night id think it would be safe to say he was hooked too.
I coulda told you from the day we became "official", I was gunna marry this man. you wouldn't have believed me but it was true, I could feel it. He came in to not only my life but the big kids life and my co-parenting life and he handled it with the most grace, patients, and openness. I couldn't thank him enough for being a single young man willing to embrace all that for me.
We have shared so many adventures together, we have put mile and miles and miles on 2 wheels from day one and that wouldn't have been possible without him making me feel so utterly safe. we have traveled with family, solo and with the kids, which is no small task, and enjoyed every scenery to the fullest together. I would have to say the sandy beaches and palm trees have been both our favorite thus far.
I originally drug this man to every Johnny holm concert that was within the region and by the 3rd of 4th he was as stuck on them as me! The 2nd time we ever saw each other was because of the carver county fair Johnny concert and to this day we try to make it back every year, get an annual photo and smile at the silly "anniversary" it is to us.
Life has been an absolute wild ride in the last 9 year we have shared together, Summer fun, motorcycle rides, Johnny concerts, trips, kids sports, having and raising our own babies, buying big kid purchases like vehicles and a house and trying to look like we know what the heck we are doing as adults. (we have almost no clue what we are doing..... but doing it together defiantly makes it alot easier!)
It may have taken 5.5yrs to make it down the aisle from proposal but that wasn't because we didn't want to, I made a plan after he proposed and we have done exactly that. Raise our 1st baby, buy a house, start my business, have a 2nd baby, get married. Now that we are nearing that day i couldn't be more excited to legally call this man mine forever.
This journey has be so beautiful, wonderful, chaotic, messy, up and down but it has never been lonely or to much when we do it together and i know that is exactly how the next 60yrs will be too.
