After sitting next to each other in class for a whole semester without ever speaking to one another, Brie and Caleb finally met in a study room at college in January 2022. The two quickly became comrades in the inexorable battle against graphic design homework–bonding over art, movies, and vintage bric-a-brac that would be better suited for an elderly couple’s home than college dorms. After a long four months of coffee shop study sessions and movie nights, Caleb asked Brie to be his girlfriend… right before he would move back to Colorado for summer break, separating the two for an even longer four months. Given Brie’s summer school schedule and Caleb’s aversion to modern technology, the long-distance summer was a period of impending doom. However, the couple reunited in September and often joke that if their relationship could survive that summer, it could survive anything. And survived everything it has: from health concerns to housing debacles to deciding what to eat for dinner; the two are indivisible.

Brie and Caleb have dreamt of visiting California together ever since they started dating, so to celebrate their birthdays (which are only 7 days apart) they decided to head west. It was on this special birthday trip that Caleb asked Brie to marry him. That moment was an emotional blur of tears and laughter, and though Brie claims to have lost consciousness somewhere in the commotion, it has been surmised that she said yes at some point during the excitement.

The affianced couple are looking forward to a lifetime of laughs, adventures, vintage clothes, vinyl records, film photos, dinner dates, decadent desserts, and unconditional love.
