Early September 2024- Axl took Brielle to look at rings so he could get a feel for what she liked. Brielle tried on a variety of rings and showed Axl some of the characteristics that she liked most. November 8th 2024- Axl went on a hunting trip with his grandfather, Jerald. And secretly texted Noele, Brielles mother, so she could go pick up the ring Axl had bought which was the one Brielle had fallen in love with originally while out ring shopping back in September! And then they spent several weeks secretly conversing about how to get the ring from Hutchinson to Emporia without Brielle knowing. They came up with the perfect plan. Brielles brother, Tristan, was in Hutchinson for a family Thanksgiving meal and had to go back to Emporia for work. Tristan secretly got the ring from Noele and hand delivered it to Axl. Which Axl then hid in the interior case of his desktop computer, until the perfect moment came up for him to get it out.

Getting the Ring

While out in Topeka visiting our friends, Axl came up with the plan to propose in front of Christmas lights. The original plan was to go to the Topeka lights but since it was a drive through light show the group shot the idea down. Instead we decided to go to the Wamego lights with our friends and planned to take family photos for them while there. Our friends keep talking about wanting family photos for their Christmas cards and that was the plan for the night. The boys wanted to play games that night so they had left to drive back to Emporia to get Axl and my gaming consoles, and Axl also grabbed the ring he had hidden. We ended up at the lights once the boys got back around 10pm. After  a few trial pictures of Axl and me, I was asked to come look at the photo to see if I like it and when I turned back around Axl was down on one knee....

Honeymoon cruise

We have planned a 7 day Norwegian cruise in March 2026! We will get the opportunity to visit beautiful Caribbean locations including~ Harvest Caye, Cozumel Costa Maya and Roatan. Some of our planned excursions and activities include: Stand up paddle boards in Harvest Caya, zip lining across a lagoon, go-kart races on board the ship, holding monkeys, sloths and Macaws in an animal sanctuary! We also plan to just take a moment to appreciate the ports we stop at and walk around the town!
