Dan and I first met in Winter 2017 but our story doesn’t begin there. Our story actually starts back in July 2017 on Hinge; Dan and I matched on the app after Dan liked a picture of me smiling while intubating a practice dummy. Dan then messaged me saying “You look too happy to be sticking a tube down a dummy’s throat”. I didn’t know then but this is typical Dan humor, but I decided not to answer him at that time.

Fast forward to the night before Thanksgiving 2017. Dan and I were both out with friends in Fort Lauderdale when my best friend from PA school, Jade, decided to introduce us. Two weeks later on December 8, 2017, Jade then arranged for our PA school friends and her Miami friends, including Dan, to meet at a club in South Beach (Ricky’s). We both knew there was an instant connection there and agreed to text each other the next day with special code words (“avocado” for me and “pumpernickel” for Dan). Dan texted me first thing in the morning and then we planned our first date: ice skating at a pop-up ice rink in Huizenga Park … and the rest is history 💜

Over the span of our relationship, we’ve gone through so many amazing moments:

• Spending every weekend together in Miami

• College football Saturdays cheering on the Gators and the Hurricanes

• Trips to Universal Studios and Disney World

• Developing a love for Miami hot spots, like Salty Donut and Casa Tua

• Fun nights out with friends to escape rooms and Top Golf

• Moving into an apartment together in Latitude on the River

And so much more !!!

Then on August 8, 2020, I went to go get my nails done and my best friend from college, Aly, was waiting at the nail salon for me … Dan had put together a surprise scavenger hunt all over the South Florida area with places that were meaningful to our relationship. After Aly and I went through 7 clues (cause 7 is my favorite number 🥰), Dan gathered both of our families back to the place of our first date, Huizenga Park, where he then proposed 💍

We are both so happy!!! We can’t wait for our wedding day and we are both so excited to spend the rest of our lives together!
