Q + A

Will I be able to bring a plus one?

Due to limited venue capacity, we are unable to accommodate unless it is specifically indicated on your envelope. For example, your envelope would list "(your name) & guest." For families, it will list "(your name) & Family" or "The (your last name) Family." When you go to RSVP, you will be able to see the exact number of people you can RSVP for.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors and are they both at the same place?

The wedding will be held outdoors while the reception will be held indoors. We recommend a light jacket for the evening. Both wedding and reception will be held at same location.

How does seating work?

The ceremony will be open seating, so sit wherever you please. For the reception, we will be carefully arranging tables so our guests are seated with those they know (or their plus one or partner). Please refer to our seating chart on the day of the wedding.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Yes, there is complimentary guest parking. Signs will be posted at the entrance of the venue and a parking attendant will direct you to the appropriate lot. From there you will be directed and/or escorted by golf carts to ceremony location.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones be turned to silent/off and put away during the ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer/videographer to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we'd hate to have a well-meaning person's phone blocking that moment. After the ceremony please feel free to take as many photos as you want! We promise to share the ceremony photos once we receive them!

What will the weather be like?

As you know, the weather in North Carolina is unpredictable and inconsistent; therefore we recommend you check the weather prior to the wedding to make sure you are the most comfortable in your cocktail attire of choice.

What time should I arrive to the wedding ceremony?

We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes or more prior to the wedding ceremony so you can mingle and find a seat.

What kind of beverages will be provided.

During cocktail hour and reception alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages will be provided for our guests to enjoy.

What kind of shoes should I wear?

Whatever shoes that you are comfortable in. Please do keep in mind that the ceremony is held outdoors and reception is indoors. The property does have grass, rock, and dirt terrain. Use your best judgment.

What should I wear?

For the wedding our dress code is black tie optional or cocktail attire. If deciding to wear black tie we ask men wear black tux or a black suit and women wear a cocktail dress mid length or full length. If deciding to wear cocktail attire; we ask that men wear a suit and women wear cocktail dresses. We do ask guests to please REFRAIN from wearing white, jeans, and denim pants.

Are kids invited?

We decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event (the only exception are the little ones in our bridal party/immediate family). Invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children who are invited. We hope you understand and enjoy a night off.
