Let’s start from the very beginning... Michael Raymond Scotty Jr was born March 20th, 1987 in Long Beach, California to Dana Noelle Puga and Michael Raymond Scotty Sr. Brissa Marie Lowery was born December 3rd, 1993 in Redlands, California to Carla Marie Lowery and Richard Gage Lowery. They both grew up in their hometowns and then both ended up going to Cal State Long Beach, but not at the same time. Mike graduated in 2013 and Brissa in 2016. Both of them were living in Long Beach and frequented at all the same bars and restaurants but somehow never crossed paths. Until one day.

Mike got a new job at Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits in May of 2016. Brissa also started work there in August of 2016. One very early morning at a Ralphs in Huntington Beach, they finally crossed paths, in the wine aisle. They sold different portfolios of wine so there was already some tension and healthy competitive banter. After a while, Mike finally dropped the tough guy act and started playing nice and would show up at accounts with coffee for Brissa. One night at AI in Long Beach, Mike asked Brissa's roommate for the okay to shoot his shot. The cat and mouse game finally came to an end on January 26th, 2017. They had their first date at Tantalum in Long Beach. After wine, food and hours of talking, they both knew that the rest was history.

On March 17th, 2017 they made it official, at their favorite spot on 2nd Street, Riley’s. After 6 years together, 3 apartments and our 2 dogs Phil and Cooper, Mike popped the question on February 26th, 2023 at their first music festival they attended together, Air & Style!
