Carson and Britney grew up in same town, and they had mutual friends. A mutual friend was trying to find Carson a homecoming date his sophomore year, and she had suggested Britney. Carson was shy, but the mutual friend had mentioned it to Britney as well. Britney made the first move by texting Carson, and from there, they kept in contact.

Carson and Britney started dating in October 2018 at the ages of 14 and 16. What could have looked like young love that wouldn't last turned into something beautiful that would continue to to grow. Even as teenagers, they had strong relationships with Jesus Christ, and they both made it clear how important that relationship was.

They were high school sweethearts, and they continued in their relationship after high school. They did long distance for three years while Carson went to college in Pennsylvania. While it was hard, they knew it was worth it and would lead to so much growth.

Marriage was not in the conversation for quite some time because they started dating at such a young age. As they stepped into new seasons of their life, they both knew that marriage was something that they wanted with each other. Carson started to plan for their next steps in his last year of college. Carson graduated in mid May and proposed to Britney by the end of May.
