Alyssa Licata - Maid of Honor
Alyssa is Kelly’s Floridian friend. They met when Alyssa moved to Texas and started working at the same company as Kelly. Yes, technically Kelly was her boss, but she was drawn to Alyssa’s personality and love for life. Alyssa has been Kelly’s long-term adult bestie. She has seen it all — the good, the bad, the ends, and the beginnings. Though Kelly hasn’t known her as long as some of her other friends, Alyssa is her go-to gal for all things happy, sad, and funny. #tiktokshenanigans
Chelsea Soper - Bridesmaid
Chelsea and Kelly have known each other since elementary school. Though Chelsea moved away in middle school, they stayed connected, and she has been part of Kelly’s life and her journey to get to this loving moment. Kelly knows Chelsea would move mountains for her and has driven all over DFW to see every dress for this wedding.
Shani Harris - Bridesmaid
Oh Shani! She and Kelly were cheerleaders together in high school. They weren’t close then, but as life should have it, they bonded over some difficult adult times. She has always been Kelly’s cheerleader, pushing her to be the loudest, happiest version of herself.
Kelly Millette - Bridesmaid
Two Kellys walked into a Facebook group… and became friends. Bridesmaid Kelly needed a dog-sitter and posted in the Las Colinas page. Bride Kelly replied, they met up so she could meet Bubba, and the two ended up bonding like lifelong friends on day one.
Ashley Templin - Bridesmaid
Kelly’s sweet sister — the one who got to name her. Yep, her first friend was named Kelly and she loved talking about her, so their parents hoped she’d like her new sister Kelly just as much. She has been Kelly’s friend, her wardrobe provider when they were younger, and the sister who tested the limits so Kelly could get away with more. They are different in every way possible, but Kelly knows she loves her just as much as that friend Kelly from daycare! HAHA
Angel Martinez - Best Man
Briton met Angel in 2017 at the Texas & Pacific Lofts, thanks to a bartender who insisted that “the two IT guys upstairs” needed to meet. What started as a joke introduction became one of Briton’s most important adult friendships, built through years of late-night conversations about work, life, and everything in between — often until the bar closed and the elevator ride home felt too short for the discussion. Angel was also part of the backdrop of Briton and Kelly’s early story, seeing them cross paths around the building long before dating was even on the radar. He’s intelligent, steady, humble, and the kind of person who gives more than he takes. Briton has always looked up to him both professionally and personally, and trusts him completely. Choosing him as Best Man wasn’t even a decision; it was obvious.
Danny Poindexter - Groomsman
Danny came into Briton’s life through work — back when Briton was VP of IT at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop and Danny was the STEP CG rep helping him roll out Aerohive access points. Briton loved working with him so much that he kept bringing him into every company he joined afterward: Fuzzy’s, Peinado Construction, NCR, Salata, and eventually STEP CG itself. Briton was hired there largely because of Danny, even though Danny quit two days later after a commission dispute he eventually won. Somewhere along that journey, they stopped being business contacts and became actual friends. Danny is sharp, driven, big on business, and the first person to say “Money” about almost anything. He’s overcome real adversity, including both daughters being born prematurely and growing up strong. Today he’s on the partner side at PCS while Briton’s at Extreme Networks — a full-circle friendship in the same industry.
David Hatch - Groomsman
David and Briton met at Texas State University in Dr. Hill’s Entrepreneurship class, where a team project turned into a solid college friendship. They ran a textbook-resale startup called Books4Bobcats, worked real estate side jobs at Hot Spots Locating, and spent their downtime battling it out in Mario Kart. Today David balances life as a DFW Realtor with a full-time career as a driver engineer/paramedic for Dallas Fire-Rescue. Briton was a groomsman in his wedding — and even played the ceremony music — and they’ve stayed close ever since.
Daniel Clanton - Groomsman
Briton met Daniel at Texas State University, where they ran in the same business-major circle and became close through countless college nights in the San Marcos Square and summer tubing trips down any river they could find. Daniel is a brilliant musician — even back then he was driving hours to gigs, playing late, and making it back for class the next morning. He’s still a professional musician today, and the only friend Briton has who shares his love for Star Trek: The Next Generation. Daniel was one of the two people Briton spent most of his college years with, and Briton later stood in his wedding as a groomsman. He’s thoughtful, loyal to his circle, and someone Briton is proud to call a friend.
Dan Rehder - Wedding Officiant
Dan has been in Briton’s life since elementary school — the friend who helped him break out of his shell and finally feel like a normal kid. Dan walked right up to a quiet Briton and introduced himself, kicking off years of Scouts, camping, and the kind of friendship that sticks. Now he’s a creative dad with a mechanic’s hands and humor that hasn’t changed. When they found out he was an ordained officiant, choosing him to lead the ceremony made perfect sense.
Dan Smith - Groomsman
Briton first met Dan Smith when "Smith" interviewed him for a Solutions Architect role at STEP CG. As Principal Solutions Architect, Dan had to decide whether Briton actually knew networking or was just confidently arranging technical words in a convincing order. Fortunately, Dan let him through. That interview turned into working on the same team, sharing a boss, and building a friendship through customer calls, technical chaos, career moves, and perfectly timed dry humor. Dan is brilliant, direct, steady, and usually prepared in cargo shorts, the unofficial uniform of senior technical leadership. He has been a mentor, sounding board, reality check, and friend through major chapters of Briton’s life and career. Now at Extreme Networks together, Dan completes the wedding party’s Dan redundancy plan.
