Q + A

What is the dress code?

Colorado Cocktail. What’s most important to us is that everyone feels comfortable and confident at our wedding. If that means a sundress and some flats or a button and slacks we will take it! Unless the weather has other plans, our ceremony will take place in an outdoor garden across the way from our reception space. If you’re coming from the South (hi Britt’s fam 👋🏻) you’ll be overjoyed by the lack of humidity, but please keep in mind that means the temperature will be a bit more variable. Even though it will be summer, it’s likely the evenings will be in the 60s so if you’re chilly by nature, don’t forget an extra layer (just in case!).

What is the style of the wedding reception?

The reception will be buffet-style dinner with passed hors d'oeuvres, food stations, and an open bar.

Can I take photos during the wedding?

We kindly ask that you do not take pictures during the ceremony. A professional photographer will be present and photos will be distributed afterwards.

Should I rent a car?

A rental car is helpful but not entirely necessary in Boulder. Parking can be difficult to find in some areas, but Uber and Lyft are accessible in the city. If you are planing to take a drive into the mountains, or explore areas outside of Boulder we recommend a car (and a few of our favorite spots on the Things to Do tab), but once you make it to Boulder from the Denver airport, most things are a short walk, bike, scooter, or Uber away! More information on the travel tab!

Are children welcome?

We respectfully request that only children specified on an invitation celebrate the occasion. For our traveling families there will be a designated play room available for children at our reception. Thank you for your understanding.

Is altitude sickness a real thing?

Yes! Boulder sits at just around 5,300 feet above sea level, which means if you are coming from a lower elevation, you may have the chance of experiencing symptoms. We want our guests to have the best time possible, so please remember to stay hydrated, ease into activities, and listen to your body.
