Our Wedding

Mike and Brittany met for the first time in early 2013 celebrating a friends birthday. They didn’t get a chance to really talk much or keep in contact. As fate would have it they met again during a New Years eve Party in 2013. They were both invited to a small bar in Ambler by mutual friends; Mike introduced himself after noticing Brittany was sitting alone. Asking if Brittany was interested in another drink sparked a conversation that would change their world as they knew it.  The night continued on with the two and conversations led to an interest in one another, learning that it was Mike's birthday (the next day) put the icing on the cake and they both had a great time celebrating the occasion.  The conversations didn't end on that fateful night and the pair only grew closer. In March of 2014, a mere 3 months after meeting, Mike finally asked Brittany out on a date.  Brittany declined as she had a plate full of life that wasn't easy for her to balance, really, Brittany was likely nervous.  Overcoming her objections, she did reconsider and the pair went out on their first official date.  Through their time dating, the pair shared a home, their lives and their hearts. Learning each other and strengthening their bond. The pair added to their love by adopting Pete, Rogue and Kimber, later adding Duke. Their four legged companions were the perfect addition to their growing love.   New Years Eve of 2023 looked alot different for the pair, still celebrating Mike's Birthday and ringing in the new year. Speaking of rings, Mike had a surprise up his sleeve.   After having a romantic dinner at The Country Place, Mike took Brittany to one of his favorite spots on Lake Nockamixon, got down on one knee and proposed.   Of course Brittany said yes!   As any good love story, the rest has yet to be written, the couple can not wait to share their next chapter with their family and friends!

Mary loves Beagles and long walks on the beach. She is a powerful and proud Mama bear of 2 boys and one fur baby. Mary met Brittany through the magical world of Wawa. Mary decided she liked Brittany enough to be friends. Thier friendship grew stronger through the phases of life. Mary is Brittany's travel buddy and go to person to try that new restaurant that just opened.  Eight years or so later she will be by Brittany's side as she gets married.

Brandi and Brittany also met through the magical world of Wawa. Brandi is a happy cat lover with one of her own. 
Brandi is that friend who keeps Brittany on her toes with always encouraging her to see things from another point of view at work and home. As time went on Brandi and Brittany grew closer through friend dates and the hours spent after in the car just talking about work and life. Also, Eight or so years later Brandi will be by Brittany's side as she gets married.

Mikes Grandmother met Giuseppe’s Mom through Avon back in the day! Giuseppe’s mom became a long-term client and Mike came along one day. Giuseppe and Mike continued to meet up and over time grew closer as friends. Giuseppe has become more like a brother to Mike. Between the common interests and hobbies, the two are more like twins.

Nothing like the name Mike. Small world with this one. Mike N met Giuseppe through his brother Francesco and the wonderful world of gaming. Giuseppe and Mike N decided to hang out and Giuseppe invited Mike C. Ever since then it had never been a dull moment between the three of them. Not to mention Mike brings the party to you at any given time.

What does Casual Dress Mean? Think your church best or business casual best! Long Maxi dress, sun dress or blouse and skirt for the ladies. Dress collard or button-down shirt and dress pants or kakis for the men. Jacket and tie not required.

Is there parking and where do I go?Yes there is plenty of parking on site where the entrance is.The zoo will be closing to the public at 4pm.Guest will arrive at the entrance as early as 4pm and share they are here for Brittany and Michael's wedding. You will be guided where to go and there will be path markers to ceremony and reception.

Is there going to be an open Bar?Yes, there will be but with select options in each category.You will be able to order the signature cocktail or from the other options available.Options range from Wines, beer, liquor and mixer sodas!There is a Champaign toast at the reception as well.

Are there places to smoke or vape? No, smoking is not allowed in the zoo. You will have to go back towards the entrance/ parking lot area.

What happens if it rains? Ceremony and Reception will be held inside the reception hall. Guests will sit at their tables while the ceremony takes place in front of the fire place. Cocktail hour is in an enclosed space so that will happen in same location.

Can I take photos with my phone? We strongly encourage guests to use discretion when taking your own photos during the ceramony. Please allow the photographers the best spots and keep in mind we want to see your faces and not your phones in our photos during the ceremony. There will be a photo booth at the reception for additional photo fun!

Will dinner be served? Yes, Hors D’oeuvres will be served at cocktail hour. Dinner will be served at the reception starting around 6:30pm. Dinner will be served buffet style including chicken parmesan , salmon florentine, and sea food stuffed ravioli. Side dishes will include baked red bliss potatoes and green beans. House salad served to all tables. In addition to the wedding cake, there will be a dessert station to satisfy your sweet tooth and a pop corn bar for late night snacking!

We want to welcome the immediate family to join us in a special first look between bride and groom followed by family Portraits between the hours of 2pm and 4pm before the ceremony begins. We know this is not a traditional request however we want everyone to take their time in enjoying the entire zoo during cocktail hour instead of rushing around to be in photos.You are more than welcome to make this your first look as well with the groom! The timeline for family portraits will be finalized week of August 1st. Brides Family- first 40-minute session.Grooms Family- second 40-minute sessionWedding Party- third 35-minute session
