Either way, it was clear from their very first exchange that there was something there.Riley had a knack for making Brittany laugh, especially with his awkward charm. He told her, with all the confidence in the world, that he'd accidentally put diesel fuel in a non-diesel car. She wasn’t one for the sand, the sunburns, or the whole beach vibe, really. But Riley, being Riley, somehow turned it around. He suggested a walk, and as they strolled along the shore, they talked about everything and nothing, eventually making their way to an ice cream stand. Brittany wasn’t exactly sold on the beach, but the ice cream made up for it. Plus, Riley’s jokes kept her laughing—he had a way of making the awkwardness of first dates feel... effortless.And Brittany? She stuck around, even when Riley showed just how much he sweated under the summer sun.
