February 19, 2023, we "liked" each other on Facebook Dating, our first real date was on February 25th, 2023. The week before we met in-person, we had a three-hour FaceTime call and that is when we knew we were for one another. On our first date, Dylan picked up Brittany at her house and we went to Lou's LaGrotto's. Later we found out that Dylan's parents first date was also at Lou's LaGrotto's! We then went bowling and that day was the day the Illinois Valley had a cellular outage, and both our phones didn't work at all. We didn't have access to contacting anyone, if anything went wrong. Luckily, it didn't, and we had an amazing first date. We even started finishing each other's sentences, it was a connection neither of us had ever felt before. On September 15th, 2023, seven months later, we were engaged. We went to Lou's LaGrotto's, like we did on our first date, we got back to Brittany's house and Dylan proposed on her patio, in the exact spot we first met each other in-person. Later that night we found out that Brittany's parents were engaged at her house as well! (Brittany lives in her grandma's house)
