Like many love stories today, ours began on Hinge in January 2024. After a few conversations we went on our first date. We met at a restaurant in Pittsburgh, for dinner. From the start, it felt easy and natural to be together. A few weeks later, and a few more great dates, we made things official.

When Juan and I met, he was living in Shadyside, working towards his master's degree and doctorate at Carnegie Mellon University. Soon after we started dating, he landed an internship with Mercedes Benz Research and Development in Michigan. That meant six months of long distance. We called and facetimed everyday, and Juan came back nearly every other weekend that summer! We also got to explore some of Detroit/Michigan together.

Fast forward to March 2025: after dinner one evening, I came home to the best surprise. He was waiting in the living room and he asked me to marry him—and of course, I said yes!

Now we’re so excited to begin this next chapter together and can’t wait to celebrate our wedding day with all of you!
