Tyler and I first met on the dating app, Bumble. It was love at first swipe! We initially connected because we were both University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign alums and had some mutual friends. After texting a bit, we learned we had similar backgrounds and similar dreams for our futures. The first date quickly lead to a second date and then a third. When we spent the day together in Lake Geneva a few weeks in, we knew we had found someone we could really see a future with. We have been together ever since!

Tyler proposed on his birthday, February 12th, 2019 in downtown Naperville. We had gone to Rosebud for dinner and decided to have a drink after. On the way, Tyler surprised me by stopping on the sidewalk and saying that he "didn't really want a drink" but what he "really wanted to know" was if I would spend the rest of my life with him. He then got down on one knee in the snow and proposed. Of course, I said yes! We were lucky enough that a passerby was able to take a picture of us during our special moment so we have something to look back on. We also ended up getting that drink across the street at Jimmy's. They gave us free champagne to celebrate and we kept the bottle as a memento. I spent the rest of the evening calling every family member and friend I could think of to share the exciting news!
