Nick and I met at Dick’s Sporting Goods where we were both employed, and we became fast friends. Nick used to find excuses to see me at work that usually took the form of a bouncy ball (or two….or twenty) that he had to put away in my area of the store. We started dating in July of 2019 and things moved swiftly from there. I invited Nick to join me on vacation on the cape that same summer. Nick sang “Die a Happy Man” at a karaoke night not long after. When the pandemic hit Nick spent most of his time at my apartment where we played lots of Pokémon go, had quarantine theme nights with my roommate Caitlin, and had lots of laughs. We moved in together and adopted Lilo, our quarantine kitty.

In March of 2022 we went on a cruise with my family. The ship docked in Cozumel where we boarded a smaller boat to get to Isla Passion. We found another couple on the beach to take our photo, and that’s where Nick got down on one knee and proposed! Soon enough the fall of 2022 came around we had a big decision to make. Nick got offered a job at The University of Central Florida’s Addition Financial Arena. After two days of deliberation and many a “are we doing this??” later we decided to move to Orlando, FL to start the next chapter of our lives together. After an ample amount of time to plan and prepare, we are (finally) ready to tie the knot.
