In 2005, two elementary schools sent their graduating 4th graders to start 5th grade in a new, combined middle school. The great mixing of "The kids from the north side of town" and "the kids from the south side of town" was an exciting time, suddenly there were way more people that none of us had met yet.

One day, partially through the school year, a young Brittany and her gang of friends (including her now-maid-of-honor Hannah Mack) saw some sad sap sitting alone during lunch. "A new kid with no friends!" they thought, "lets go sit with this pitiful sight, and make him feel welcome".

One day, partially through the school year, a young Tyler sat alone at lunch, enjoying his quiet solitude, unbothered by the fact that he wasn't sitting with anyone, as that was choice he made - he had friends, but eating alone was edgy and made him mysterious. This quiet solitude was quickly broken, however, when 4 young women sat at his table and started....talking to him. They had good intentions of course, clearly the boy at the table was new to the school, dropped in mid-way through the year into an alien place with people he didn't know, of course he had no friends. This is all well and good, until you remember that Tyler was there as long as they had been - they simply hadn't noticed him before now.

This was the inciting incident that began a now 18-year friendship which would form into a relationship that would persist through the challenges of college, and coalesce into this website you're at now.
