It all started on August 21, 2021, at our friends Gabe and Katie’s wedding in Tahoe during fire season. The wine was flowin’, the skies were gray (450 AQI kind of gray), and love was in the air. At the end of the night, Noah finally got the courage to approach Brittany. “Do you like chicken wings?” was all he could muster. Brittany laughed at Noah because the answer was pretty obvious given she was eating hot wings.

The very next day, back home in Oakland, they matched on Bumble. “Hey! Weren’t you a flower boy yesterday?” They quickly discovered their love for crocs, board games, and the enigmatic Nicolas Cage. It was clear, a date was in order.

The dates never stopped; soon evolving into a series of adventures. Together they would camp around Northern California, travel to Hawaii and Europe, attend music shows, learn how to garden, and bike all around the East Bay.

But amidst their escapades, one constant companion joined them on every journey – Becky, the travel backgammon board. Named by Noah after a victorious first game, Becky became a symbol of their shared competitive spirit. Though Noah hasn't claimed victory since that initial triumph, the defeats only added to the laughter and love they shared.
