Brittany left Ohio in the late summer of 2020 to pursue her dream career down in Atlanta, GA. Within 3 weeks she would be introduced to Kyle on his birthday through a new friend that had gone to college with him. While they barely spoke that night and parted ways, Brittany made an impression on Kyle.

The following weekend was full of big college games and where else would you watch them? The Ivy. Because Brittany had visited Atlanta previously and knew the bar, she had no hesitation in joining in. Upon walking in, Kyle locked eyes on Brittany and did his best to make a better impression so she wouldn’t wander off like before. After a few hours, there was undeniable chemistry between them as they inched closer to sit by each other.

By the end of the night, Kyle and Brittany were inseparable and spent the rest of the evening getting to know everything about one another. While Brittany had no intention of “finding love” because she was focused on her new career, Kyle wasted no time taking her off the market. To prove himself, Kyle didn’t wait until the following weekend to take her on a date - they went out two days later on Monday to Kaleidoscope for dinner.

Kyle officially asked Brittany to be his girlfriend on October 9th but by the end of October, he was whisking her off to St. Simons Island to introduce her to his father and show her an SEC rivalry weekend down on the coast. Brittany fell in love with the island's Spanish moss trees while Kyle admitted to his father, he was falling for her.

By the following Summer, they were moving in together, making plans for their future, and escaping down to the coast every chance they got.

Brittany's closest girlfriends conspired with Kyle to set up a perfect surprise engagement. A month prior, the girls had mentioned to Brittany that they were setting up a little photoshoot "like the old days" for when she came back to Ohio. Brittany wasn't suspicious until the weather took a dive to 20 degrees and suggested canceling since it was scheduled outdoors - the girls were all for it and so Brittany shrugged it off and went with it.

Upon arrival, Brittany was hesitant to get out of the car with how cold it was but Kyle kept reassuring her it would be a great time with her friends. While walking to "meet the girls" where they told her they would be, Brittany spotted the sign that asked, "will you marry me?" and as she turned to Kyle, he was already down on one knee.

With an obvious yes and lots of happy tears - her friends sprang from behind the bush to surprise her! A little tent (heated) was set up with a picnic of strawberries, champagne, waffles, and a sweet engagement gift from her whole friend group!
