After a couple of weeks of emails/texts/phone calls, they finally decided to meet. Brian loved the fact that Brittany was a Nats fan, so he threw out the idea of going to game as their first date. Brittany immediately declined, worried that she may not like Brian in person and it would ruin the game experience for her. So, they settled for dinner. After a wonderful dinner, Brian told Brittany that he had a surprise for her, and took her to see a comedy play at a nearby theatre. After the play, they went to a local bar and talked for what seemed to be hours. Flash forward two and a half years, many accepted Nats game dates, one puppy, a move, and a new business later, they still get the same butterflies that they had on that first date. When Brian proposed to Brittany out in Napa on a surprise trip, there was absolutely no doubt in her mind that she wanted to spend the rest of her life as Mrs. Scanlon.
