You'd think since they met in college that this is the answer to how Brittany and Jeremiah fell in love. You might be thinking: "They must of bumped into each other like they do in the movies - in the hallway where all of Brittany's books fall on the floor and while Jeremiah helps to pick them up, they lock eyes! And the rest is history!" Or you may be thinking more simply for this answer: "Maybe they saw each other worship the Lord and became smitten or even saw the other throw down on some hot wings in the Cafe and fell hard!".
But nope. Jeremiah and Brittany never ran in the same friend circles. They knew of each other, but were pretty much under each other's noses the entire time they were in college. There were hi's and bye's occasionally, but nothing world shaking for almost 3 and a half years.
They never would have thought they'd end up together.
Fast forward to December 2018. Jeremiah had recently moved to Bishop, California. Brittany was finishing her last semester at Life and decided to go home for the holidays.
It was then that Jeremiah slid into Brittany's Dms. Brittany had just posted something silly on her Instagram story and Jeremiah responded, wanting to know more about Brittany and her sister, Breanna's, kookie adventure that day!
And then he asked more questions. And so did she...
After a few weeks of chatting, Brittany made the daring decision to see what this guy is all about - but in person! The only way to truly judge his character was to duel him to a mini golf battle. Like all people who meet anybody do... right?
Jeremiah was four hours late to this first hang out, but its all good fam. One bowl of smooshed Pho later, Jeremiah and Brittany finally did go mini golfing (which Jeremiah won) and confessed their feelings toward each other. They decided to see where this will go. Even with the long distance as a looming challenge, Brittany and Jeremiah were excited to see what this will bring and what God had in store for them in this relationship.
Something just felt different about this relationship than any other one they had both ever been in before. God had brought them together at the right time in both of their lives.
Brittany and Jeremiah worked hard at their relationship. They drove back and forth to see each other (Jeremiah seeing Brittany in San Diego where she moved and Brittany seeing Jeremiah in Bishop). They spent ALOT of time on Facebook messenger in the texting app and over video chat, wishing for the next time they would see each other. Long distance was extremely difficult for them (especially in a pandemic!), but they knew it was worth it because they were in love with each other.
After almost two years of dating, they realized their relationship was a forever kind of thing. They were each other's person, best friend, and beyond. They wanted to continue to do ministry together and life together for as long as they both should live.
On November 25th of last year, Jeremiah popped the question to Brittany during a fake family photo shoot in Folsom, CA. A few months later, Jeremiah moved to San Diego to be with Brittany. They get to do lots of ministry together, explore different coffee shops, watch movies and shows, and spend lots more time with each other than ever before. It's amazing!
Now, the couple has been excitedly planning for their wedding day happening on July 24th, 2021.
Brittany and Jeremiah wouldn't trade each other for the world.
