Our Wedding

✨Brittany and James first met at a Halloween party on October 30, 2021. The party was hosted by a mutual friend (shout out Sarah Durno). To set the stage, James had been at a wedding the weekend prior and Brittany just spent 2 hours stuck in traffic in a parking lot. Neither was expecting to meet anyone.  ✨ Brittany was dressed as Regina George. You know the scene - the one where she has the holes cut out of her shirt - that was the costume! James was a contestant from Squid Games. To this day, Brittany still hasn’t seen the series.  ✨ They hit it off right away, but when Brittany mentioned she worked with ice cream James really perked up. Aside from ice cream, they also share a love for the Boston Bruins.  ✨ Over the next two years, Brittany and James moved in together, traveled to New York, Las Vegas, DC, Savannah, met each other’s friends and family, attended weddings and Boston sports games.  ✨ James was turning 30 and Brittany wanted to do something big to celebrate. Luckily for her, the Bruins were playing the Panthers at the Garden on the anniversary of the day they met. It felt like the perfect gift to celebrate both James’s 30th and their “anniversary” so she splurged and bought tickets at center ice, 8 rows back.  ✨ Unbeknownst to Brittany, James was already planning to propose that day. He decided to pivot from his plans of a Newport, RI proposal. Leading up to the game, Brittany is oblivious. James recommends she get her nails done, but makes it seem like her idea. Should have been dead giveaway. HOWEVER. Brittany had a strict NO JUMBOTRON proposal clause, discussed ad nauseam, so why should she be suspicious? Besides, this was to celebrate James’s 30th birthday!  ✨ The Bruins made it tough, but pulled out an OT winner - thank you Zacha!! Brittany and James are thrilled! Brittany more so because a loss would have been a really shitty gift.  ✨ In front of the ice, after the stadium cleared, James asks a security guard for a picture. He takes a couple and starts to hand back the phone when James says “Actually, can you take one more? She doesn’t know this is happening.” See sequence of photos. James shows the ring to the security guard first and then turns to Brittany and gets down on one knee. Many thanks to that security guard for capturing the moment for us!  ✨ In the year that followed, Brittany and James moved out of their apartment, bought a home and traveled to Ireland all while planning for their wedding day.  ✨ We’re excited to have you all celebrate this day with us 💕

A room block is available for Friday night as well as Thursday, if desired. The rate for a King room with pull-out sofa is $159 + tax for Thursday 5/1 and $249 + tax for Friday 5/2. A select few Double Queen rooms with pull-out sofa are also available. The rate is $189 + tax for Thursday 5/1 and $269 + tax for Friday 5/2. Check-in is at 4pm. The room block is closed for online bookings. You will need to contact the hotel directly and ask for Elizabeth or Lorrie. If rooms are still available, they will be able to assist.
