Our Story

Our Love Story

Picture of Our Love Story

It was only a matter of time before Tyler and I would run into each other. In 2015, Tyler moved to Minnesota and found himself a mere 45 minutes from my hometown. In 2017, we were in the same crowd at NASCAR in Kansas. That fall, I started travel nursing in Louisiana and was only 3 hours from Tyler's new location in Dallas. Fate drew closer as Tyler moved to Denver, Colorado in 2018 and I followed two weeks later. God made his final move, and we ran into each other at a brewery that February. Within weeks, we developed a connection and Tyler asked me to be his girlfriend on the mountaintop of Loveland Ski Area.

We moved in together after dating for only 2 months and continued seeking new adventures. We rented a car and traveled throughout Costa Rica, we signed up for goat yoga, and we hiked Colorado's tallest point, 14,000 feet to the top of Mount Elbert. After that, I asked Tyler to join me on my travel nurse adventures. He was torn on what to do. Being raised in Rapid City, SD, he was happy to finally be close to his grandmother and uncles. He also had a new job working as an engineer. But we had something special and Tyler sensed that as well. So, he agreed to move and our adventures continued.

Little did we know, our next adventure would be the most heart breaking one. We welcomed Denver James to the world on July 8, 2019. Tragically, his stay on earth only lasted 4 hours before being called home by our Heavenly Father. Denver is always on our minds and we talk of him often.

We leaned on each other and thank our friends and family for being such a strong support system. During our grieving, we knew we still had so much love to give. We decided to adopt a puppy and picked up Everly June from a town called Everly, Iowa. We then decided to buy a house house in Saint Paul. If you have ever been to our place, you know what kind of hassle our driveway can be. We often laugh about retreating to our hideaway on the hilltop. In 2020, we welcomed Zoey Marie to the world. She was born on 11/1 at 1:11 AM. A year and a half later, we had a smiley Kyla Jo on April 14, 2022. Then Jude recently joined our happy family on December 30, 2023.

Tyler and I attended a charity ball this past February in honor of Denver. Dressed up and ready to go, we took some photos on the patio. This is where Tyler got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I excitedly said yes and here we are! Through the craziness of being parents and juggling triple chaos, we are now planning a wedding. It's beautiful, fun, overwhelming, and exciting. God has truly blessed us and we can't wait to make our vows to one another in His presence. We invite those who have touched our lives to join us in celebrating the miracle of love that brought us together. There are no mountaintops in Minnesota to host a wedding, so waterfront is our next best option. We will see you on the lake this July!

With love,
Future Mrs. Johnson
