People say you will never meet your future spouse in a bar but that is exactly how Josh and Brittany met!

It was a&nbsp;Saturday&nbsp;night&nbsp;in February, 2012. Josh was enjoying the night with his friends&nbsp;in downtown&nbsp;Peoria while Brittany was attending her nursing school's annual Doctor's Dance. After the dance was over, Brittany and her friends weren't&nbsp;ready to go home so they&nbsp;decided to go to&nbsp;Sully's, a bar favorite&nbsp;in downtown Peoria. When Brittany and her friends arrived, they immediately headed to the dance floor where Josh and his friends already were. Josh and Brittany randomly&nbsp;coupled up and started dancing. They hit it off and spent the rest of their time together.&nbsp;Eventually Brittany's friends were ready to go to a different bar&nbsp;so Josh, being a true gentleman,&nbsp;walked Brittany to the door and said goodbye. Brittany really enjoyed her time with Josh. She was hoping to see him again, but he never&nbsp;asked for her number. Before rushing out of the door, Brittany decided to take things into her own hands and&nbsp;asked Josh for his&nbsp;number.&nbsp;They&nbsp;exchanged contact information and she left.&nbsp;Later on in the night, they&nbsp;began texting&nbsp;and eventually Josh's group met up with Brittany's group for a second time that night.&nbsp;Again, they danced and spent&nbsp;time together. The night eventually ended. Josh and Brittany headed their separate ways.



Fast forward to later&nbsp;that week,&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;texted Brittany for the first time since the night they met&nbsp;and asked&nbsp;her on a date.&nbsp;Brittany was ecstatic but also was a little nervous since he was a random guy she had met in a bar.&nbsp;Before&nbsp;leaving on their date, she told her friends to call 911 if they didn't hear from&nbsp;her&nbsp;in&nbsp;two hours, telling them that she was okay. Luckily, Josh was just as sweet as he had been the night they met and a 911 call was never needed. They had a great time on their date. Josh and Brittany&nbsp;went out a few more times in the next few months. Finally, on&nbsp;April 1, 2012, Josh officially asked Brittany to be his girlfriend and they have been dating ever since.

How We Met

In&nbsp;January, 2017, Josh and Brittany took a big step in their relationship and decided to move in together. They chose a cool brick exposed apartment in downtown Peoria and signed a lease. They got their family and friends to help them move. They spent an entire weekend packing boxes, unpacking boxes, and making their new apartment look like home.

Tuesday, just a few days&nbsp;after they had moved in together,&nbsp;Josh woke Brittany up before she had to work night shift. He said, "I have to tell you something." Brittany jokingly&nbsp;asked if they had to move again. Josh said,&nbsp;"Yes." Josh had taken a new job position a year prior. They knew a move would ultimately be in their future but didn't think it would come this soon. Josh explained that he had gotten a&nbsp;promotion and was going to be moved to Pennsylvania. Brittany was shocked and immediately asked, "What's in Pennsylvania?"&nbsp;



Over the next week, they&nbsp;learned that they were going to be moved to Harrisburg, PA. Josh and Brittany were really hoping that when Josh got his promotion they would be moved to a bigger&nbsp;city. Josh and Brittany made a case to move to Philadelphia, PA instead of Harrisburg, PA. Josh presented it to his boss. To Josh and Brittany’s surprise, Josh's boss went for it! They quickly found a place in Philadelphia and moved in April, 1 2017, exactly 5 years after they started dating. Josh and Brittany are still living in Philadelphia and are loving the east coast.

Things Get Complicated

It was Josh and Brittany's first winter in Philadelphia and for the first time&nbsp;in six years Brittany would be&nbsp;off of work on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day of 2017. Josh and Brittany decided to plan a trip to&nbsp;Naperville&nbsp;for&nbsp;the holiday. They packed up the car with gifts for family and made the long 12 hour drive to Illinois. Once they arrived they spent the next few days leading up to Christmas, enjoying time with everyone, visiting the Christkindlmarket, and looking at Christmas lights.

Finally, Christmas Day came and it was time for their family celebration. They started the day preparing a feast and eventually moved on to opening gifts. Once the gifts were all opened Brittany's mom, Debbie, announced she had one more surprise.&nbsp;Every year Debbie buys a little gift for everyone, in addition to gifts on their Christmas List. The little gift is usually&nbsp;the same for every person. So when she asked&nbsp;everyone to close their eyes for their gift, not surprisingly,&nbsp;no one listened except Brittany. Brittany closed her eyes! Debbie announced that since Brittany closed her eyes she would be the only one to get a gift. Everyone went silent and Debbie told Brittany to open her eyes. When Brittany opened her eyes, Josh was down on one knee in front of her and said "Brittany Kromphardt, I love you. You're the kindest, sweetest, most incredible person I've ever met. You're my best friend and I can't imagine my life without you in it. Will you marry me?" Brittany said "Yes!"&nbsp;

For guests staying at the DoubleTree by&nbsp;Hilton Lisle&nbsp;Naperville, hotel shuttles will be available to and from Mesón&nbsp;Sabika. The shuttles are on a strict schedule, so please plan accordingly. They will be on a first come first serve basis.

There will be one 30 passenger&nbsp;shuttle from DoubleTree by&nbsp;Hilton Lisle&nbsp;Naperville to Mesón&nbsp;Sabika. The shuttle will leave the hotel at 5:45 pm.&nbsp;

























At the end of the night there will be two 30 passenger shuttles to take guests from Mesón&nbsp;Sabika back to DoubleTree by&nbsp;Hilton Lisle&nbsp;Naperville. The first shuttle will leave the reception venue at 11:30 pm. The second shuttle will leave the reception venue at midnight.&nbsp;

We LOVE&nbsp;your kids, but only children of our immediate family are invited unless noted on the invitation. We&nbsp;have a limited guest list and&nbsp;want our wedding to be your night off!&nbsp;

Can I bring a date?

In order to keep our guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes, you may bring a plus one.&nbsp;

What is the tentative schedule for the day?
