How they met


Brittany and Robert met in Grand Haven Mcdonalds while Brittany was working. She worked with his cousin at the time and one evening Robert came in for dinner with him. Brittany served them their food and Robert asked his cousin about her. The next day Robert’s cousin and Brittany worked the same shift and he mentioned to Brittany that Robert had been asking about her, and that sparked interest for Brittany immediately. Robert came in for dinner a few more times and every time Brittany made it a point to serve him. Eventually Robert asked Brittany for her number and if she would like to go to the movies sometime. That’s how it all started, with a breakfast sandwich and a hash brown. 
Like any relationship the couple had their fair share of ups and downs, but nothing has ever stopped them from realizing they were made for each other.



The proposal 


Robert and Brittany traveled to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for a short vacation. Little did Brittany know, Robert had something planned. 
They made a day out of visiting Tahquamenon falls, something Brittany had never had the pleasure of doing. They also made a day of visiting Pictured Rocks and did a lot of sight seeing. The last day of their vacation they decided to come back down across the Mackinac Bridge into Mackinaw City and got a beautiful hotel room in the Crown Choice hotel-lake view and water park. They got to take their son to the pool to play during the day, they both thoroughly enjoy making Conor happy and making sure he has fun and is included in everything. By nightfall they went for a walk down to the ice cream shop not too far from the hotel. They shared a birthday cake waffle cone and Robert was so nervous he barely ate any of it. They made their way to the pier and over looked the water. The moon was big and bright orange and reflecting off the water. Behind them the Mackinac Bridge was lit up in bright different colored lights that also reflected off the water. It seemed meant to be because they were the only ones out on the pier that beautiful summer night. Then all of a sudden Robert got down on one knee and asked “will you marry me”. Brittany was so caught off guard that she couldn’t believe what was happening until she felt the ring in his hand. Of corse Brittany shouted yes the whole city of Mackinaw probably heard her. By the time they got back to the hotel their faces hurt from smiling so much and Brittany’s makeup was smeared down her face from happy tears. Needless to say it was the perfect proposal that will never be forgotten.
