On a brisk December day, Landon invited Malachi to a local winery. During that visit, Landon told Malachi that he ought to meet this amazing girl he met at Bible study recently. Since Malachi is stationed in Georgia, he politely declined and continued to enjoy their time together.

A few minutes later Whitney, Landon's now wife, decided to stop in. When she arrived, Landon and Whitney were super excited to set up Malachi and Brittany. They giddily talked about how Brittany and Malachi would be perfect for each other. Once again, Malachi politely declined and went back to talking with Landon about an upcoming New Years Eve trip to Florida.

Unbeknownst to Malachi, Whitney decided to text Brittany about Malachi. She invited Brittany and suggested that Brittany come meet this ”great, smart, caring, gentleman” they know. Feeling adventurous, she decided to make the quick trip.

During this time, Malachi was trying to head home, but Landon was his ride, and had no intentions of leaving until Brittany arrived. Eventually, Malachi watched a beautiful girl walk through the door. He mentioned to Landon something to the effect that the girl who just walked in was very attractive. Landon was excited to tell Malachi that she was the person they wanted to introduce him to. After hearing the good news, Malachi was no longer in a hurry to leave the winery and decided that it was only prudent to “hear her out.” Through the course of the conversation, Malachi and Brittany decided to continue getting to know one another and eventually pursue a Godly marriage.
