To sum up our story - we have been together for over 18 years - which has included 10 1/2 years of marriage, 6 beautiful children, nursing school, and enough memorable moments to last a lifetime. Through it all we have stood by each other, and our love for one another will never waver. For our 10 year (one day shy of our 11th year) wedding anniversary we wanted to renew our vows at a place that has meant so much to the both of us. We hope that you will be able to join us in Disney World, as we celebrate this special milestone in our marriage.
On Saturday, September 25, 2004, I was visiting Mike down at Bradley University. We had decided to have dinner at the Riverfront. At the time I was obsessed with Jessica Simpson, so Mike had decided to wear an outfit similar to one Nick wore in a music video. Little did I know he was trying to appeal to my senses. As we were walking along the river, Mike stopped - got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. The rest is history ...
Sunday, September 25, 2016 - was a pretty awesome experience .... Not too many people can say they went trick or treating in Disney World. And receive enough candy that will last till Christmas (not that it will make it that long in our house of choc-o-holics!!!) We were able to ride the most rides with no wait - which is key when you have a bunch of little people!!! But another moment that happened after we got back from a fun-filled evening at our second home - that will continue to make September 25th a VERY important day in my life. Mike asked me to be his wife once again, after 10 years of marriage. I've often wondered if given the chance, if Mike would do it all over again - I guess he would!!! For our 9 year anniversary, he bought me my anniversary band, and to celebrate our 10th year he SURPRISED me with this beautiful upgrade!! And to top it all off he asked in the most magical place on Earth!! We have so many wonderful memories here - it truly feels like home!! We can't wait till August when we reaffirm our vows, and love as husband and wife, but this time we get to share it with the beautiful family we've created - and our family and friends. We've had a crazy, wonderful 10 years of marriage, but very much looking forward to the next chapter of our lives .... where we can watch our children grow, no more pregnancies (God willing), no more schooling (well maybe my masters at some point), many more trips down to Disney, and just enjoying life!!
Once we have a better idea of who will be able to join us, we will plan some type of get together the evening before.
