"Jeff had been working on the road for Polivka, and Brittany had recently moved back home 6 months prior. Jeff and Brittany met through a mutual friend, Colton Dill "Pickle" and became friends themselves; little did they know that Jeff and Brittany's sister, Bailey, were already devising a plan to surprise Brittany to make their match happen! Jeff traveled around 834 miles to meet Brittany for the very first time and Bailey took full advantage of "girl's night" by inviting Brittany over to her house. It should be noted that Bailey did not inform Brittany of this addition until Jeff had already pulled up the drive and was getting out of his truck–needless to say, Brittany was joyously surprised! That night, Jeff met and mingled with Brittany like he had known her for years. She got her first glimpse into the incredible person he is. A few days later as Jeff was departing for Baltimore, he told Brittany that one day he was going to make her his wife. As she looks back and knows that morning was the day she started falling in love with her future husband."

How We Met

“We got engaged on September 29, 2023. Jeff went to great lengths to plan the perfect proposal, despite all of them not going as he planned. Jeff told me that we were going to lunch at one of my favorite restaurants “Harry’s Seafood” in St. Augustine, FL. Taking advantage of having to travel to GA for his sister’s rehearsal dinner. He thought this would make an easy excuse for me to dress up nicely and have my nails done, so I wouldn’t hate the outfit I wore on the day we got engaged.We arrived at the restaurant and were asked inside or outside. I said “outside” because Harry’s has the most beautiful outdoor patio. And me, not having a clue what has been planned, when the hostess asked balcony or inside, I thought “oh, let’s do the balcony! I haven’t been up there yet” … poor choice. It was so windy that day. As soon as we sat down my hair started blowing all over my face. Jeff seemed like he was internally freaking out because he had no idea how to make me comfortable and less of a mess. We got seated inside once Jeff notified the waiter. After lunch he had arranged to walk the waterfront and have Blake waiting with camera in hand. Due to weather not fully cooperating - plans had changed once again. We walked the shops then up and down the waterfront near the fort. I was in wedges and the wind is now to my back blowing my hair to where I couldn’t fully look at Jeff without getting a face/mouth full. I point to a pergola just further down the walkway and suggest to Jeff “Let’s go sit down there before my feet start to hurt”. As I sit down on the bench under the pergola facing the water, I notice Jeff being a little nervous and off *Jeff never seems rattled or off* I think to myself “If he breaks up with me before his sister’s rehearsal, I am going to make a scene!" (Pound Puppy Syndrome)To my surprise he gets down on one knee and asks “Brittany Nicole Rountree, will you marry me?” Of course, I cried and with a gleaming smile {screaming like a school girl in my head} said “YES!!”. He picked me up and we shared our first kiss as fiancé and fiancée &lt;3
