Kyle and I met in October 2010, while studying at Clemson University. We met through our roommates' dogs, Eva and Toby, who had become friends, as Kyle lived on the floor above me in our apartment complex. We dated in the fall, but in the spring I studied abroad in Sevilla, Spain. Shortly after my return to the US, Kyle came to visit me in Virginia in May of 2011, and we have been together ever since.

After graduating, Kyle and I lived and worked in Washington, D.C. for about two years. Then in July 2014, we moved to Santiago, Chile to work as English teachers and travel for a year! In the summer of 2015, we came back to the U.S. and drove west for our big move to Colorado. We have loved living in Colorado (Roxie too!) and we are so very excited to share this incredible state with our friends and family this October!

Kyle proposed on October 16, 2016. We went to Aspen for the weekend and on Sunday, before we drove home, we decided to hike to American Lake. It was a steep and long hike, and I'm pretty sure I had to stop to rest every 100 feet on the way up. Once we got to the alpine lake, we took in the view (while Roxie swam) and then Kyle popped the question. I am glad I made it to the top!
