Wear tennis shoes and take many pictures!

Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge

Open all day, everyday. You will need to pay $8 to park (it goes towards preserving wildlife). Make a beach day of it and bring chairs and towels. You may see dolphins and even manatees - but don't touch!

Sebastian Inlet State Park

You'll need to take a trip to the mainland to get to this one!

McKee Botanical Garden

For those that wish they were at the parks and want a little sprinkle of the magic, 12 minutes away by car is the Disney Vero Beach Resort. You can grab a bite at the Wind and Waves Grill or get some dole whip soft serve or a Mickey ice-cream during the day. There is even a coffee shop open to the public.$$$
